Welcome to Nissen Family Vineyards! Our fourth-generation family farm is located in the rolling hills of Cedar County in northeast Nebraska. In the early 2000s, brothers Tim and Dave Nissen, along with their father Vic, set out to create something excellent on their 400-acre farm, and Nissen Wine was born. After countless hours of research and experiments to determine which varieties would complement their calcium rich, rocky, orthello soils, the first commercial wine grapes were planted in 2003. The first hand-picked harvest and fermentation followed in 2006, and today Nissen Family Vineyards grows four main varieties of wine grapes and offers 13 wines ranging from sweet whites to dry reds.

In 2012 the addition of a winery and tasting room created a beautiful space to showcase our wines and provide opportunities for local gatherings, parties and cultural events.

As our family and vineyard continues to grow, we look forward to providing Nebraska with quality wine and recreation for generations to come.
